COL Gallery will be presenting Harriet Salmon: We Were Ill Prepared, opening March 13. Inspired by Western and Eastern armor traditions, Salmon’s new body of sculptural work explores protection, vulnerability, and the labor of preparing for unseen threats in an era shaped by climate crisis and political unrest. Salmon, whose work is held in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, creates fierce, ceremonial objects that imagine how we might brace ourselves for an uncertain future.
